The Guangzhou flagship store of Oday's ultra-narrow doors and windows is located in the core landmark of Zhujiang New Town, Guangzhou Louvre Life Aesthetics Experience Hall. It was created by Zhao Rui, the founder of Weitu Design, with "light-facing" as the core concept. This project is a simple idea: to introduce natural light into the basement, and it must be natural!
What is light-facing? Zhao Rui's new terminology for design language: it is obviously to copy and copy natural light, and deliberately create it to make it look real, which is different from the construction method of "borrowing light" in the interior space last year. From the transition from the solid to the virtual space of the ceiling, and finally the natural light copying the exterior view of the patio, the progressive three-step treatment of avoiding the real and focusing on the virtual is completed.
It is well known that the use of mirrors is a habitual method of many designers, but in this basement space, the mirror language is not a style expression, but is considered to be necessary to be applied to the appropriate scene, acting as a light wedge in this construction method. The wall and floor treatment methods pursue naturalism, and the material expression is deliberate but restrained, and does not dominate the minimalist door and window products.
This is not only a place to display products, but also a meeting point of inspiration and aesthetics; the polished texture is designed to make you embrace the fresh air of nature when you push the window. Welcome to the bright light!
